The export of Kiwis to Australia continues unabated.
Figures just released show the flow of emigrants across the Tasman in July equalled the highest-ever figures. New Zealand tallied departures of nearly 54,000 - which is a record. That was offset by arrivals of 14,000 from Australia, most of whom were Kiwis coming home.
Australia made a net gain of just under 40,000 migrants, most of them New Zealand citizens.
New Zealand gained immigrants from other countries, led by the United Kingdom, China and India.
